A day in the life

Winter is upon us! So what do you do on the first day of winter?
Play with horses, of course!

It starts with a hangover, then I found out I was accepted in to a reining clinic (yayyyyy! ), followed by driving in to university for zoology, then after enduring lectures - freedom! A week off then final exams start. So, kind of freedom. Nonetheless it was time to celebrate, stop studying, and ride my damned horse!
Arena work out the window, that's boring - so mum saddled up Polly and I grabbed the Wich, and off we went. Wich decided he was obviously a high headed brumby, while Polly poked along behind like a schooling pony, lol. So after an awesome trail ride around the property (and mum's stirrup leather breaking, oops), I decided to set up some makeshift jumps out of logs and whatnot (gotta love living in the bush), and Wich was a 3 day eventer.
Well, he thought he was.
Up hills, down hills, over jumps, over bushes, around trees, through trees, under trees we went.
He was having a ball not doing boring arena work and I haven't just ridden for the hell of it for a while, so it was really fun. Even if I was using a bridle and saddle for once haha.
